Just got home. got my nails done. Only fucked up one on the ride home. Leykis was bitching about Indian outsourcing because they are “godless heathens” or something like that. Then a Christian lady from the midwest called in and said that she didn’t mind, because those people have “got religion”. Leykis made fun of her before kicking her off the show. I changed the channel and Stevie Ray Vaughn was on. Much better.
As an American, I wish that companies didn’t outsource, because Americans should have those jobs. But the big companies aren’t looking at the big picture. They’re looking at the bottom line. Our nation always looks at the bottom line. If they looked at the big picture we’d use a lot less pesticides and actually try to save the environment instead of just say we are and health care would be affordable and we’d be actively looking for a gas alternative for cars.
I don’t base my opinion on outsourcing on the religion of the proposed workers.
On the other hand, when I put my global glasses on, I feel that India, or wherever, should get the outsourced jobs because they want them, they do a good job and it stimulates the economy there. Whenever I see footage of earnest Indian people attending a Dale Carnegie course because they want to do a better job it kills me. Enthusiasm gets to me every time.
Just ate some mac n cheese fromĀ Amy’s Organic.
Yummy.
Time to dye my hair. And watch the second half of the first disc of Africa. I’m going to send Preaching to the Perverted back.
