Good times.
The beach was fun. No one was bitten by a shark. I’m always afraid of sharks. And I sort of feel like if I’m in the ocean they have the right to bite me.
Was watching a show last night on Australia’s Great Barrier Reef. A jellyfish has been killing people left and right, apparently, and one of the victim’s widows was crying and saying that the government should of told them about the jellyfish, that it was their fault. Well, I figure that if you’re a scuba diver with any experience (these people were experienced) that you know about the 999 ways or so that you can die while doing it (Sharks, drowning, etc.). Isn’t it reasonable to assume that there are 1000 ways to die in the ocean? That’s the point my dad made, anyway. And I think he was right.
We also discussed the most pressing issue at hand, besides the upcoming election, the environment. Why do we put up with a government that poisons us and allows its citizens that right, as well? Lead and nuclear radiation being the two worst, IMHO. Maybe I will quit my job in erotica and become an activist.
But probably not.
I like champagne and gorilla jackets too much.
(I’ll have a PO box soon, so the general population can send me either.)
I do want to join the Peace Corp later in life, though. They have fab senior programs.
K.
Off to have more family fun.
