Ended up not shooting with Lori.
Everything is fine.
I am just a basket case.
TMS came over and calmed me down. We went to a movie. Get Smart was OK. Then we went with J., my neighbor, to the Santa Monica Pier. This was topped off by a drink on the stoop with Angela.
She let me keep the rest of her beer here. I guess this ensures future visits. I will be able to lure her over with her own alcohol.
I never drink, so people feel very safe leaving alcohol with me. I broke up with a bf once and he left a six pack here. It lasted for three months and during that time I had to MAKE Angel drink it. I am firmly entrenched in marijuana dependency and have no intention of switching sides now.
I got some books at The Grove yesterday. The new David Sedaris book and another one by Richard Preston called “Panic in Level 4″. He wrote another book, called “The Hot Zone” that is all about various outbreaks and strains of the Ebola virus. I also got “1001 Places to See Before You Die”. TMS and I are going to see how many we can cross off. It’s good to have goals. We’ve already crossed off most of the things in California.
I’m on the last Africa disk. I sent the other two in today. Here are the next 15 movies in my queue, in case you were interested.
1. Burden of Dreams
2. Fitzcarraldo
3. Willard
4. Wild at Heart
5. Truth or Consequences, N.M.
6. Wonder Boys
7. Albino Alligator
8. 8MM
9. Layer Cake
10. Being John Malkovich
11. It’s All Gone Pete Tong
12. Into Great Silence
13. 2001: A Space Odyssey
14. Hot Fuzz
15. Life In the Undergrowth: Disc 1
You can probably guess what 16 is. But this is only a 2 disc documentary, thankfully.
What are your favorite movies? What should I put into my netflix queue?

Well, if you’re going to see Fitzcarraldo, You definitely should see ‘Burden of dreams’, the documentary which was made about the production of the movie:
‘A documentary on the chaotic production of Werner Herzog’s epic ‘Fitzcarraldo’ , showing how the film managed to get made despite problems that would have floored a less obsessively driven director.’
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0083702/
It’s absolutely fantastic. Herzog turns out to be just as crazy as the main character Fitzcarraldo himself. If not more.
