Went to see The Dark Knight yesterday evening with TMS. I wore my new corset for about 4 hours, the longest I’ve worn it. I’m wearing dresses about 80% of the time now, which is awesome. I’m not wearing my corset enough. It’s hot. Hot. Not too bad around the apartment, though. Perhaps I’ll wear it while working on clips this afternoon.
The Dark Knight was awesome, but about 40 minutes too long. Heath Ledger did a great job and underplayed the role which really drove it home. There were traces of Jack in there, but not in a comical way. There wasn’t any mocking. Christian Bale is the sexiest Batman ever. Maggie Gyllenhall didn’t work for me. She’s charming, but not cute enough. Isn’t that horrible? For me to say that? I like her in “smarter” roles. She wasn’t a complex character in the film, imho. Did I mention that Christian Bale is super sexy? We saw it in the dome, which was awesome, and had great seats.
TMS and I talked about the comic book quality of the previous Batman films, and the harsh realism of the current series. Very different.
Still haven’t seen XF2. It isn’t showing at Arclight, which I found very confusing.
Tonight, a dinner party, then an early bedtime. TMS is racing tomorrow!! I may be going.
Just hanging out today. Watching Steven Wright: When The Leaves Blow Away. I watched Hitman last night. Amazing adaptation of the video game. I have a thing for assassins.
My laundry is mostly done, and I’m just hanging around the house getting ready for some shoots with Chanta next month, some trade with January Seraph, a Gwen Media film and getting ready for Burning Man!! Yay!!
Today, movies and then I’ll get ready for the party.
