I, the Fabulous Mz Berlin,  was about to head out the door this morning when my dad called. We ended up talking for two hours about the election and what it meant on a personal, national and global level. I rarely get to chat politics with anyone, and my dad keeps up with me and occasionally blows me away with his predictions and insights.
He talked about being in school when desegregation began, and how even though it was mandated, the students kept segregating themselves. I told him that it was exactly the same (a self-segregated population) when I attended that very same high school, when I walked those very same halls and ate in that lunch room. We both wondered if the lunch room there was different this week.
Having a mulit-racial president is exciting on so many levels.
I just hope that he keeps that “hope” momentum through the tough times ahead.
I’d hate to see this historic moment and presidency fucked up by the shitty “in” box he’s getting. And the fact that our nation has a long way to go before we will really see the Change that he’s talked about during this campaign. I hope that the human condition of impatience doesn’t get in the way of our long term success as a nation.
Then we talked about the financial crisis, which is one of our favorite subjects to agree upon loudly together.
Then we talked about China and Russia and Africa and all of the different challenges that the president elect will face. (I didn’t mention the middle east in that list, because he and I have talked that subject to death.)
A few more phone calls, set up a few shoots, then I was off to AIM and the bank. Most of my work this week has been payroll based, so I’m waiting for my checks to come in.
Paid my bills.
Off to the dr in about 1/2 an hour, then hopefully I’ll be going to see a movie tonight. Word from TMS is that it’s really busy at his office, so we’ll see. If not, Netflix delivered “River’s Edge” (with Crispin Glover!!), “Life in the Undergrowth” (5 freakin’ hours!!) and “Leatherheads.”  I hate George Clooney in everything except for “The Perfect Storm” and that had nothing to do with him. I just thought the story was compelling. I’m not sure why I listed that.
Shooting with Derrick Pierce again for Fucked and Bound (fuckedandbound.com) was AWESOME. I was on the sassier side of sassy, and was certainly put into check. Haha!! I wore some custom shoes and my prettiest red dress. I love working at The Factory.

Good morning!
Last night I went to an awesome party at Social in Hollywood. I got to walk my first porno rope line, which was exciting. Caution: Vent Mode/Minor Pity Party Ahead

Ohmygawd. So my car breaks down on the 12th and I rented a car. I finally got my car back, which cost a gazillion dollars and then had to pay for the rental. And it used up all the money I had been saving to move to a bigger apartment.

And then there’s a rather serious family issue I’m dealing with. In addition to that there’s personal drama that is overwhelming going on, too.

This weekend was fine. I worked with Charlotte Vale and we had a good scene. It will be put in the editing queue soon and be up on the site. It’s another one of my “Submits” series. Sunday was a shoot for Mr. Fitzgerald and Gwen Media. The movie is pretty heavy and is all about metal and water torture. I don’t want to give to much away, but I was waterboarded in the film. Your whole sinuses fill up with water and your body responds like you’re drowning, but you can still breathe through your mouth as long as the water is being poured, but because of the drowning response and the water in your face, you don’t remember.
It was really tough. The movie is a very dark almost horror film. Very Mr. Fitzgerald. I was in metal shackles all day!!

I’m finally finishing Becoming Berlin: An Afternoon with Princess Donna this weekend. I’m very excited to get the final edit and be get started on the next one. I’ve set a date in November and am thrilled. The first production meeting is in two weeks!

So, that’s that.

In dresser news, I am all done and everything but the stencling and drawer liners are in place.  I need to order them online. Maybe I’ll take care of that this evening. I’ll take a picture of the almost finished product soon. I haven’t been home when there’s been good sunlight, and I want to show the color. TMS got me a “prize” of glass knobs for the dresser. They are absolutely perfect and I have a very thoughtful dominant partner.

Did some yoga tonight. I did my 40 minute flexibiity training tape. I’ve been doing my 20 minute one, but I think I need to work on alignment again before trying to do power yoga. Yoga is not like riding a bike. I’m happy with my progress, though. Once I get more aligned and flexible I’ll add some more pilates. I was learning ballet while overseas and still have the tape. I hope to restart that, too. The more you do, the more you do and want to do. I need to just be consistent for a couple of weeks and I’ll be back where I was. Wanting to work out and feeling better.

‘allo and good morning. I (the fabulous Mz Berlin) woke up at 7 this morning. I’ve been getting up earlier and earlier. It’s good for me. I’ve been getting more done.
I’ve finished the dresser I was working on.
The inside (including the interior of the dresser itself!) is painted a vibrant semi gloss pink varnish and the complete outside, the rails inside the dresser, and edging of the dresser is painted a matte red. It really turned out well. I’m ordering some stencils this week, as well as some nice paper (I think it’s called oil cloth or oil paper? People use it to line drawers and cabinets, before contac paper or whatever became popular.)
TMS surprised me with faceted glass knobs from restoration hardware. They were the perfect size and shape. And the front is flat, so I can do some glass painting later, maybe do a subtle fleur-de-lis on the front of each.
I’m feeling really motivated in the redecorating department. Partially because I know that I’ll be moving soon and partially because I have so much more room because of the futon.

I (the Faboulous Mz Berlin) haven’t posted in a while about TMS or our relationship progression, specifically my clothing restrictions. Here are the rules-
- I have to wear a dress at all times unless it’s inappropriate to the activity.
- I have to wear heels all the time unless it’s inappropriate to the activity. (4″ or higher. No exceptions.)
- I am allowed to wear comfy clothing at home, like when I’m working on an art project, but am expected to wear a nightgown to bed.
- When on a set in town I am expected to wear a dress and heels to the shoot, just like I’m headed anywhere else.

There are some others that I’m sure I”m forgetting, but that’s the gist of it.

I’m (The Fabulous Mz Berlin)  back home.
Obviously.
The Burn was amazing. Blah. Blah. Blah. I could try to explain it and do it justice, but that won’t ever be faithful to the Experience blah blah.  TMS is amazing. He was a total trooper. The yurt was beautiful and filled with people most of the time. Zsu Zsu got her ballotin of imported chocolate. Biking was impossible. The Playa is huge now. The city was roomy, not as crowded in a space sense. I am in love with Motorhome Burning Man Going. It is The Way.
I do feel that the AC on tap did make me a little less social this year, but I was a lot more introspective.
I hurt my leg while trying to jump on a steamboat. Like, a Mark Twain-Karma Chamelon sort of steamboat. At sunrise. I continued to fuck up my leg the rest of the next day. Right leg, knee and below. It is my unsexy shin. Boo Hoo. I also injured my arm on a disco bus. I think.
Did I mention that we picked up a hitch hiker?

I know. It’s early. TMS had to go to the race track. Zoom! Zoom! I am staying behind to boldly soldier on in Hollywood, organizing drawers and cleaning out closets. I’m on a cleaning kick. TMS got me a book from Griffith Park. “The Elegant Universe” by Brian Greene. It’s a book that’s quoted in another book that we’ve just finished reading (the second time for me)- “A Brief History of Nearly Everything.”  I plan on starting it this morning. Superstrings. I feel very eleven-dimensional today.
Well, that’s it.

I spent the night with Mr. Fitzgerald last night and am happy to report to all you sensory dep junkies that I spent a full hour in a spandex sleep sack and hood. A hitachi was strapped to me with a custom vibe harness that my Mad Scientist had made, and I was strapped securely with leather straps around my arms and legs. A ball gag from Sinvention, then a spandex hood with no openings and a posture collar completed my condition. Of course, white noise was piped into my noggin and my rules played at different levels during my time, spoken by TMS himself.

I’m always nervous when we conduct a sensory dep experiment, and last night was no exception. TMS put everything out on the bed and left it there while he ran out to complete an errand. I surveyed his implements of control a few times, passing through the bedroom in the hotel room. (We were out of town, running an errand.) I usually try to bargain for less time, but didn’t this time. I was actually looking forward to some time at Mr. Fitzgerald’s mercy. We’ve been so busy with work and life and planning work and life lately that we haven’t gotten to tinker with, well, me.

When TMS got back from his errand, he called me into the bedroom and had me strip down, then lay on the bed. They he began applying one device after another. Hitachi, straps, body bag, ear plugs, ear muffs, ball gag, hood, collar. All of the wires were hooked up to his laptop and he said that my time was beginning. They keep any compression from hurting my ears, which is especially nice with latex.

I couldn’t really see through the spandex hood. I think it has a built in blindfold. Combined with the white noise and the light compression of the spandex, and the bondage it felt like I was in a cocoon. I felt a little anxious as I tested my bondage, but it was an easy panic to fight because of the white noise lulling me into a state of calm. The posture collar and gag were harder to relax into. It sort of mentally separated my head from my body. I was segmented, and very aware of that.

My rules kicked in almost immediately, along with a question that required a response. TMS played it a few times manually until I got the idea, then he set it on random with the others. I didn’t know this until afterwards, of course. I just knew that the question kept repeating, so I tried to answer it. I’m sure I sounded ridiculous, but perhaps that was the point.  My rules played at random intervals. The vibrator kicked on and off randomly. Sometimes for a few moments, sometimes for a while. It was rather frustrating. When the white noise would play and the vibe was off, it was very peaceful and relaxing and blissful. When a rule would play, it would be, basically, my minds’ only focal point. The same with the vibrator. It was a lot of fun, and I really liked the element of unpredictability.

The whole experience resulted in a very dreamy, submissive and slightly sweaty me. I’m really proud that I did the whole hour. We’ve done 1/2 an hour in heavy rubber and shorter stints as well. The compression of the latex sends me into a bit of a panic. The spandex breathes a bit more, so maybe that’s why it’s seems more sustainable, in my head. I do adore latex hoods, though.

So, TMS and I picked up the motorhome today and took it to the RV repair shop for a once over. Burning Man is feeling more and more real. We’re doing a yurt test run in the next couple of weeks so we can plan for the camp. I had a long chat with The Wife yesterday about our August plans for survival in the desert, and it sounds like systems are a “Go”.

I got something very special in the mail yesterday. My WaspCreations corset. Amy did a beautiful job and I am the proud owner of an ivory underbust with double boning. It closes at 20″ and I wore it today for 4 hours around 21.5″. Once I break it in I should be able to get to 21″ with no problem. The thing about Amy’s corset design is that she makes a much stiffer corset that I’ve ever seen and employs quite a bit of rib reshaping. Most of my other corsets focus solely on waist compression. That makes this corset a bit harder to wear, but I feel that the ultimate shape will be worth it. The detail work on the corset is to die for, and I feel that my goal of 20″ all day, every day isn’t more than a couple of months away. My issue at the moment is dresses that are light enough for every day wear. I have about 4 that are appropriate, and several skirt/shirt combos that will be appropriate for the cooler months, this fall. I’ll be scouring Target, Ross and Wasteland over the next few weeks.

I decided a year ago to focus on corsets over latex, and I’m happy that I have. Perhaps I’ll devote next year to my rubber collection.

Shooting femdomme with January Seraph this evening, which should be fun. Just for two hours, so it will be a short night. I have lotsa laundry to do, so that’s a good thing. Tomorrow morning TMS and I head off to a cabin in the woods. No phone, no internet. Yay!! TMS and I have gotten to spend lots of quality time together, which has been great. It’s been wonderful to have someone that “gets” me. He thinks my jokes are funny, can keep up with my non-linear banter. He’s a wealth of information, which is nice, too. Hanging out with JF is sort of like having my own encyclopedia. Ha! An incredibly funny, kinky, consistent and positive encyclopedia. This week will be our 6 month anniversary, and it’s exciting to have a milestone. I’m expecting the next 6 months to be just as adventurous and progressive as the past six months have been. It’s nice to have that confidence in your primary relationship.

K. I need to stop blabbing and start doing. Laundry, clip store (still!!), and working on my blog (Mz Berlin’s Blog Dot Com). I also have some shoots to schedule. I tend to get booked for a couple of days at a time in other places, and it’s always when there’s something already scheduled in LA. Most of the LA producers are cool about it, though, and are willing to reschedule, but it still sucks to cancel.

So, I’m gonna get to it. Here’s a picture of me, right now, almost getting ready to do laundry.
